474415 CT is an audio-visual study of the sicilian city Catania at night. During three walks Juan-Carlos Quindos and Daniel Neumann would pause on every site that one of them considered as somehow interesting. Both would have to capture. Quindos took fotos, whereat his exposure time got longer and longer during the three nights, starting at 0.25 up to 8 seconds. This exposure time of each foto defined the lengh of the sample that Neumann took out of the audio recording, captured at the site. Now Neumann processed this sample to produce a short, rather abstract sound piece and accompanied the appropriate foto.

474415 CT ist eine audio-visuelle Studie des nächtlichen Catania, welche aus drei Spaziergängen am 17., 18. und 19. August entstand. Juan-Carlos Quindos und Daniel Neumann hielten inne an Orten, die für einen von Ihnen interessant waren und nahmen an diesen Orten auf. Quindos fotografierte, wobei er die Belichtungszeit stetig verlängerte, von anfangs 0.25 bis hin zu 8 Sekunden Länge. Diese Länge gab die Länge für die Samples vor, die Neumann aus den Audioaufnahmen entnahm und elektronisch bearbeitete. Die Fotos wurden chronologisch angeordnet und mit dem bearbeitetem Audiomaterial unterlegt.

Ésta serie fotográfica sonora forma parte del proyecto artístico FAUX FUTURISTS (Daniel Neumann y Juan Carlos Quindós) con las imágenes que se van sucediendo en el DVD 474415-CT:
Durante tres noches se hicieron apropiaciones visuales y sonoras al unísono de rincones de la ciudad siciliana de CATANIA, de modo que cada fotografía se correspondía con un trozo de sonido ambiente de la misma duración que su tiempo de exposición. Posteriormente se hizo un montaje cinematográfico de 30 minutos ordenado cronológicamente en el cual sucesivamente se combinaba cada imagen con una microcomposición sonora “ad-hoc” a partir del fragmento sonoro correspondiente.
Se trata por tanto de imágenes complementadas necesariamente con su sonido, y pese a que lo más interesante fué el montaje final aquí podeís clickar y escucharlas por separado.
